The Lower Cost Prescription Drug Alternative

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Natalie_Aranda] Natalie Aranda Today in the United States, there are hundreds of thousands of people who do not have and cannot afford adequate health care coverage. Sadly, many must pay out of pocket for medical treatment of any kind, not to mention much needed prescriptions. These expenses can add up quickly and are usually very costly. Consumers often find themselves cutting back on other expenses, in order to pay for medical procedures and medication. Oftentimes they are forced to go without. Fortunately, the Internet now makes it possible for many uninsured consumers to obtain medicines by way of discount prescription drug purchases. Yes, consumers are now able to [http://www.rxmexonline.com/] buy prescription drugs, online, safely and quite easily. For those living within close proximity to Mexico it is becoming more and more commonplace to purchase prescription drugs online, via a Mexican pharmacy. Prices are notably less than what is charged at, both, American and Canadian pharmacies. (It is possible to obtain some medications WITHOUT a prescription.) Americans are prohibited from ordering a prescription drug online and requesting that it be shipped across the border, as it is highly illegal. Instead, they must travel to Mexico to make the purchase, carrying it back across the border themselves. Most Mexican pharmacies carry generic and name brand medications. These medications are clearly marked and typically cost $10-$15 less, per prescription, than a non-Mexican pharmacy charges. That savings can really add up, especially over a long period of time. There are actually two “classes” of Mexican pharmacies. There are those who are allowed to dispense controlled substances and those who are not. Controlled substances such as Valium and steroids require a doctor written prescription stating the patient is allow to purchase the drug, in Mexico. If you plug the search term “buy prescription drugs online” into your favorite search engine, you will be presented with thousands of link choices. Visit as many of these sites as time permits. Do your research. Call each information/customer service number provided. (These are usually toll-free numbers.) Ask questions and compare prices. When you order discount prescription drugs from an online pharmacy, not only are you saving money, you are granted the convenience of shopping at home. Many uninsured consumers find that online pharmacies are the difference between filling a prescription and going without it. Not only do they save money, they find themselves jumping back onto the road to recovery, sooner than they imagined. Betrayal: A Case Study

By Dr. Jennifer Sowle Beverly and Chris were married for 7 years. Chris was a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who had been clean and sober for several years before he met Beverly. Beverly was a successful professional, and Chris was a hard-worker in a blue collar job. After several years, Beverly suggested that the couple start a business of their own. They decided to invest in rental properties which they hoped would help grow their savings and allow them to travel and enjoy life more. They got a second mortgage on their home and bought several fixer-uppers in the same town where Chris worked. Things did not go as smoothly as expected, but they kept working on it and trying to deal with the stresses of a new business together. After about a year, Beverly came home to find Chris crying and upset. She asked him what was wrong and he said he had to move out and “see what he wanted in life”. Beverly was caught totally off guard and was devastated, but had no choice but to let him go. He left immediately and, in a week, came back to pack up his personal belongings. He told Bev he was staying with friends. In the meantime, Bev worked the business on her own. About a month after Chris left, Beverly received a call from the bank that her business account was overdrawn. After meeting with the bank, she discovered that Chris had been funneling money out of their business account for some months before he left. When Beverly finally reached him, he minimized the theft, but said that he would reimburse the account. A couple of weeks later, Bev found out from friends that Chris was seeing another woman, someone he had mentioned as a new acquaintance at work. After two small checks, Chris stopped paying Beverly back. Can This Relationship Be Saved? There is not much hope for this relationship. Chris has a history of addictive behavior. While he had been clean and sober for some time before he married Bev, he is fragile to reacting to stress with a relapse. Obviously, Chris had been secretive about his feelings for some time. By the time he decided to talk to Bev about it, he was ready to leave. Not talking and keeping secrets is definitely a red flag. It looks as if Bev was the codependent in this relationship because she was the one who made the suggestion to start the business. Reading between the lines, she takes the lead in “helping” Chris by trying to make him into an entrepeneur. She married a blue collar worker and then wasn’t accepting of the limitations that might mean in terms of their lifestyle. When the business started to flag, Chris wasn’t equipped to deal with it in a direct way with his wife. Instead, he started seeing another woman and lying to Bev about it. Alcoholics are extremely adept at rationalizing destructive behavior. I’m not sure how Chris was justifying betraying his wife, but by the time he began to steal money from her, there is a very strong chance he had started drinking, drugging, or gambling. This was the point where he was in in a complete relapse, and it was only a matter of time before he would be found out. Chris bailed out with more lies before he had to face that consequence. The negative prognosis for the marriage is cemented by the fact that, even after he was found out, Chris made no attempt to be honest, apologize, or take responsibility for his actions. He resorted to addictive behaviors like rationalization, minimizing, and more lies. Bev should move on and deal with her own issues around this marriage. Let Chris continue to run the course of his relapse. Hopefully, he will get back into recovery before he hurts anyone else. A postscript for Beverly: She can take steps to stay out of the codependency role by being completely honest about Chris’s behavior to family and friends. To do otherwise would be a continuation of caretaking, “protecting” Chris from having to face the consequences of his actions. By the same token, Beverly will be extremely vulnerable to Chris’s “charming” side should he try to reconcile with her. Chances are also strong that he will attempt a reconciliation because addicts are very attached to their codependent partners. Another postscript: I don’t want to give the impression that recovering addicts are bad partners. Recovering addicts who are actively working a program can be very good partners because they have been forced to look at themselves closely, are used to talking about and listening to feelings (in group meetings) and can be insightful about behaviors and motivation. The Art Of Landscaping Your Garden

By Marie Fisher Landscaping is the one gardening endeavor that can consume lots and lots of your time and energy. If you are thinking of tackling it on a grand scale, you will need some major preparation. If you were to consider hiring a professional landscaper, you would most probably find that the costs would be quite horrendous. Now that’s fine if money is no object, but I personally get great pleasure from my own endeavors, gardening is after all my great passion in life. I would strongly suggest however, that you have a clear idea in your mind about how you would like your garden to look, rather than simply starting off without a clear plan in mind. Having said all that, here are simple but indispensable tips to guide you in making your landscaping activities extremely rewarding. Draw Your Landscape Plan. However not just any plan. It needs to be a well thought out landscape plan, or you are certainly doomed to lose money as well as time and energy. You really need to take account of the style and function of your landscape, and a good idea of the plants that you also want to include. Focus on that area where you spend most of your time, because this is where your landscaping labors should all be directed. Investigate A Free Planning Service. Hiring an independent designer would probly cost you hundreds of dollars, but you might well discover that many nurseries offer a free planning service, particularly if you are likely to be spending some money with them. Take Account Of The Style Of Your Home. When planning your landscape, the style should complement the design of your house and your personality as well. There are various landscape styles which you can choose for your garden:- 1. Formal - This style uses lots of straight lines and perfect geometrical shapes. Orderly arrangement of plants instead of random positioning is employed, and close arrangement and pruning is used on many landscaped gardens with this style. 2. Informal - This kind of landscaping goes well with houses which have a cozy look to them. Beds with curved edges instead of straight lines and random placement of plants suit this landscape style. 3. English Garden - This style emphasizes on the harmony between the houses architecture and the garden. 4. Formal/Informal Garden - This style often comes with a brick walkway that exudes formality. This walkway leads to the rear with a circle of plants. The arrangement of plants resembles the English garden style, but it has no formal borders. 5. Oriental - It is often the kind of garden found in houses with small backyards. It uses rocks, evergreens and water, and a wide variety of plants to create several angles with this style. 6. Woodland - This landscaping suits a house that has a wooded backyard and an inclined terrain. Keeping those tips in mind will not only make your landscaping a very fruitful activity, but will save you considerable expense as well as time. Don,t be frightened to use your imagination and flair for color in this project, after all it is primarily to please yourself and your family. I suggest that the satisfaction that you will gain from creating and designing your own personal landscaped garden, will make you feel like a true artist. Acupressure Schools

By CarolAnn Bailey-Lloyd Find Acupressure Schools in the United States and Canada. Acupressure schools teach an ancient healing therapy that was developed in Asia over 5,000 years ago. Teaching students how to utilize the fingers to depress key locations on the skin’s surface to promote natural healing, acupressure schools instruct in similar practices of acupuncture; as acupressure facilitates the same reference points on the body that release muscular stress; thus encouraging better blood circulation. Acupressure schools teach students the benefits of acupressure, and how it can relieve pain and bring the body back into harmonious balance. Acupressure’s healing ability promotes stress reduction, improves circulation, relaxes the body and strengthens the immune system. Acupressure schools also demonstrate how this healing art can effectively be used to alleviate acute and chronic conditions such as arthritis, headaches, spinal-muscular pain, and sinus complications. Taught as a preventative therapy, students of acupressure schools learn that acupressure is an excellent alternative healing education for overall well-being — mind, body and spirit. Two techniques commonly taught in acupressure schools are “Shiatsu,” and “Jin Shin.” Shiatsu acupressure, the most widely used therapy, is notated for its vigorous and firm pressure application; while, the Jin Shin acupressure technique is a more gentle form — whereby points are softly held for a moment or two. In addition to providing typical acupressure sessions for clients, students of acupressure schools are instructed how to develop their entrepreneurial skills to promote their individual practices. If you or someone you know is seeking an alternative education, we have a selection of acupressure schools from which to choose — here, at Holistic Junction. Find your dream job! Let education within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore career school programs near you. Six Steps To Recognizing A Food Allergy Symptom

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Allen_Matthews] Allen Matthews Before we take the six steps in recognizing a food allergy symptom, I should first point out that what you may believe to be a food allergy, may in fact simply be an intolerance to a food item. It is often easy to confuse an intolerance to food with an allergy, so many people wrongly diagnose themselves with a food allergy, when their reaction is quite mild to a particular food stuff. A perfect example of an intolerance to food is maybe having an upset stomach (diarrhea, gas, feeling sick) after digesting a meal or drink (such as milk). Typically, intolerance results in mild reactions, and require little other than a stomach settling medicine to resolve. However a food allergy can cause a much more severe response within the body. However, if your body has had a stronger reaction, usually within an hour or so of eating a food item, you maybe seeing the symptoms of a food allergy. So here are six major reactions to look for and identify if you are worried that you, or a family member, may have a food allergy: Reaction 1 - Rashes or swelling form on the skin, especially around the mouth area. Reaction 2 - Tightening of the throat, thus causing wheezing and shortness of breath Reaction 3 - Sever vomiting or diarrhea Reaction 4 - Very runny nose Reaction 5 - Dizziness Reaction 6 - In very rare cases, anaphylactic shock. This is where the entire body goes into shock (similar to an epileptic fit). Remember, if your reaction to a food item hasn’t resulted in any of the above reactions, you may simply have had an intolerance to food. But if you do suspect that you have a food allergy, you should always contact your doctor or GP and they will help diagnose whether or not you do. Attacking Major Depression With Professional Treatments

By Jay Miller The patients depression was crippling. He was in an out of psychiatric hospitals and could not work let alone function a normal life. All other treatments had failed him until neurosurgeon John Smider performed and operation. His skull was opened exposing his brain, in which they then placed a battery operated “pacemaker.” This pacemaker emits a rhythmic electrical pulse which alleviates depression whithout altering the thinking process or damaging the brain. The operation was a success! The patient positive attitude soon returned and he was able to return to work. You saved my life, he told the doctor. Now I can live a normal life. This man was one of many millions of americans suffering from chronic depression, a disorder that created intense feelings of guilt, helplessness and hoplessness. Many other symptoms of this disorder are disturbances in appetite and sleep, constant fatigue, crying spells and the inability to cope with life and derive pleasure from anything. Only a very slight amount of people suffering from chronic depression require surgical treatment with a “pacemaker.” With most forms of major depression trained professions can help the patient. What treatments are available? There are a variety. Some suggest that other methods do not work, and others suggest that multiple methods work together. Why is this? Some researchers feel that severe depressions are caused by a physical defect in the body, such as a chemical imbalance in the brain, thusly medication such as antidepressants are considered a viable method of treatment. Others argue that the disorder results from faulty thinking and that the mind creates the imbalance and can thereby rectify it. These believe that the mind needs correction by talk therapy, psychotherapy. While both methods have experienced some good results, neither of them has the full answer. Mind and Body Involved The relationship between the mind and the body is a complex relationship because of the close interplay between the mind and body. Each and every patient is different and mental disorders can be very complex. Only a trained doctor can make recommendations as to which approach is best for the patient. It is recognized that within every field of treatment there are often a wide range of practitioners. For example in psychotherapy there are over 130 different reported approaches. Talk Out Depression When one is sufffering from major depression, psychotherapy or “talk therapy” is one recommended approach. Since a depressed person usually has greatly disturbed ideas, many have been aided by their talking to a therapist. Such professionals may include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and others with specialized training. Many have also found great help in just talking with a caring friend of relative. Armand DiMele, director of the Center for Psychotherapy, observes: The depressed person is protecting himself by shutting down his mind and body and not allowing any stimulation. For example, when someone suffers a loss such as a death, he may go into a depression rather than face the loss. The job of the counselor is to help the sufferer to face the feelings and anxiety that come from such a loss. DiMele continues: If the therapist sitting with him can really nurture him through and tell him what to anticipate in body sensations, then the person gradually realizes he can cope with the emotion, and the depression lifts. Submerged feelings, such as anger, resentment and guilt, have often bred depression. For instance, a psychologist employed by the New York State Mental Health Department treated a 58-year-old woman suffering from severe depression. She felt that God had abandoned her and that everyone was talking against her. As this expert of 20 years experience began to talk with her in a kindly way each week, he noticed that in discussions about her family she never mentioned her mother, with whom she was now living. He probed. In time she revealed that she felt that her mother, by her neglect, was responsible for her beloved fathers recent death. Gradually the counselor helped her to overcome this resentment, and her depression melted away. Since guilt is often a major symptom of depression, psychologists will endeavor to eliminate it along with the patients feelings of worthlessness. One woman became severely depressed when her child turned rebellious. I was never really a proper mother, was I? she cried to the psychiatrist. Thats why shes gone wrong. The doctor helped her to see all the good she had done for the child. The guilt then vanishedand so did her depression. However, the treatment of most cases is unsuccessful, according to Dr. Ronald Fieve. He reports in his book MoodswingThe Third Revolution in Psychiatry that not infrequently, after weeks, months and years of working with a moderate or severe depressive, helping him to analyze his behavior, very little happened. Authorities in the field differ as to intensive psychotherapys effectiveness. One of the reasons for this is that many doctors feel that the chemical imbalance present in severe moodswings cannot always be corrected by psychotherapy. They advocate the use of . . . Setting Objectives For Weight Loss

By Roy Thomsitt I am sure that when I mention setting objectives for weight loss, the majority of people will be thinking in terms of how many pounds in weight that they, or someone else, should lose. That is similar, in a way, to those who consider setting financial objectives, and then state money as an objective. Really, if they think about it more closely, money is not an objective; the real objective is what you are going to do with that money. If it is to buy a new house, then the objective is that new house; if it is to retire to Mexico by the sea, then the objective is that new home in a new location, Mexico; if it is to help poor children in Africa, then the objective is helping children in Africa. The objective in those cases is not the money itself; money is worthless if it sits there doing nothing. It just happens to be that many objectives require money to achieve them. In a way, there is a similarity with weight loss; should weight loss be classed as an objective in itself? Perhaps not, but that does not really matter; what matters is finding the best way for you to lose weight. If you think about it, your decision to lose weight is as a result of other factors. Weight loss is not something you have suddenly considered in isolation; a number of other things have probably caused you to think of weight loss as being necessary. It is those other things that should be the subject of your objective setting. Why You Need To Broaden Your Weight Loss Objectives Weight loss is a very narrow objective. You may think, why not, what else is there to say? Losing weight is not an easy task. That extra weight has probably been the result of many years of bad eating and exercise habits. So, you decide to lose weight. Well, you wont lose weight, and keep it off, without the full co-operation of your subconscious. For years, your subconscious has been your chief assistant in making you fat. Now you are suddenly going to say that the new name of the game is weight loss. With that narrow objective of weight loss, you have done nothing to convince your subconscious this is a good idea. You have given no reason or reasons, so why should your subconscious co-operate with this meaningless weight loss exercise? In your attempts to have a narrow body, you need to have a broader mind and set of objectives. Carefully chosen objectives will broaden your argument with your inner self, and are likely to be far more motivational. You will be choosing a sensible diet and exercise regimes to assist in reaching those objectives; weight loss will be incidental, just as money was in those earlier examples. How To Set Weight Loss Objectives You need to sit down quietly, and try to think as clearly as possible of the reasons why you have decided you want to lose weight. The true reasons, that is, not something like cos Im too fat. Once you have isolated the reasons, whether theres one, two or many, then write them down. Those are the reasons you have suddenly decided to lose weight. Those should be the subjects of your objectives. I will give a few examples to help you to understand the concept: 1. Reason to consider weight loss: Youre embarrassed going into a boutique and trying on size 18 dresses. Objective: To be able to go into boutiques and try on size 12 dresses..successfully. 2. Reason to consider weight loss: Youve read a lot about the association of being overweight and hypertension, and your blood pressure is high at 150/90. Objective: To achieve a stable blood pressure of 120/70. (NB such blood pressure targets need to be discussed with your doctor, and will vary according to age and other factors. This is purely for example purposes.) 3. Reason to consider weight loss: Youre sick of being introduced to women, and sensing them looking you up and down with disgust. Objective: To have women look at you admiringly again. Those are just three examples; you may have more or less, but you could find it an interesting exercise analyzing yourself to see why you really want to lose weight. How To Achieve Weight Loss Objectives Consider those three example objectives above, and you will see that none mention losing weight. However, all are based on convincing reasons, that are more likely to get full co-operation from your subconscious. With those three objectives, losing weight can play an important part in achieving them, without being the main objective itself. So what you have done is to bring a broader front (if youll pardon the expression) to your weight loss objective setting. Theres no reason to stop going to Weight Watchers or other weight loss group; theres no reason not to have a target weight. After all, they are now in harmony with the three objectives you have already used to seduce your subconscious into co-operation. How, then, can you set about achieving those objectives? A combination of meditation and visualization each day should help you convince your subconscious you are serious about these objectives. Here are a few tips: 1. Write the objectives down and keep them handy. 2. Read the objectives and repeat them, orally if possible, morning, lunch time and evening. 3. Morning and evening, in a quiet time lying down, relax your body, and focus on your breathing. Gradually dismiss all distraction around you, and then start to focus on each objective in turn. Repeat the objective in your mind, and visualize your successful achievement of it. See yourself proudly trying on that size 12 dress in front of admiring assistants; or walking into a party of strangers and the women looking admiringly at your new physique. Give no dates for your objectives, let that come naturally. Repeat the process as long as necessary; weeks, months, years. Each time you visualize the achievement of your weight related objectives, your subconscious becomes more in tune with what you, consciously, want. Together, you will become a powerful team in the weight loss game. How to Handle Competition From Other Men in the Dating Game

By Crid Lee When you have just ended a long term relationship, the period after that is a difficult one. Most of the guys will be wondering what will happen? Will they ever get a new special woman in their life? I think it’s easy for men to become so comfortable and emotionally dependent in a relationship that they experience a lot of FEAR when ending that relationship. Getting back to the dating game is not as hard as what you guys think. If you know how to go out anytime to meet women, you should not be afraid at all, because those set of skills are still deeply rooted in your brain. When you know how to go out anytime and meet women, you will have the following benefits: 1) When you know that you can meet women anytime you want, it makes you stop acting so NEEDY and CLINGY in a relationship. Most needy and clingy behaviors are rooted in the FEAR that you will never be able to find another woman. 2) When it comes to ending a relationship, this skill makes things MUCH easier. Too many of you guys stay in relationships that are bad for you, and are afraid to END a relationship because of that deeply-rooted insecurity that comes from not knowing how to walk out the door anytime, anywhere and meet women. When comes to dealing with competition from other guys when you are out of the dating game for a long time, there are actually 2 reasons to find the root of the problem. 1) INSECURITY. When you are insecure and do not trust yourself, you will always fear that someone else CAN snatch away your girlfriend/date. This is a bad thing because it then clouds your thinking, and creates an illusion that the woman you’re with is BETTER than she is, and that you’re WORSE than you are. 2) Jealousy. Jealousy is useless, and it can leads to stupid emotion like anger and anger may leads to violence. Women hate violence. If you resort to violence, I can bet that she will leave you immediately. Therefore, you will need to feel confident about yourself first, so that it will not lead to jealousy. Women are attracted to guys who are confident, and if she wants to leave, you cant stop her anyway. And if she really leaves, just look for a new woman! Why fear? By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Low_Jeremy] Low Jeremy Headaches can be such a nagging problem. As a symptom, it can be a cause of some serious ailments. Headaches that come with vomiting and nausea can be signs of migraine. The headache nausea that usually accompanies migraine can be effectively treated by some anti-nausea medication. But one should be more concerned about the headache that migraines cause. Migraine is increasingly becoming a big problem for a growing number of people. Migraine headaches are brought about by the sudden shrinking and then swelling of blood vessels in the head that causes the pain. Migraine headaches can be triggered by a lot of things. Tension, for one, is one major trigger of migraines in a lot of people. Fatigue, hunger, bright lights and a variety of different foods and beverages can also be possible migraine triggers. The onset of a migraine attack comes with some telltale signs. Nausea and vomiting may be felt before any actual pain or headache is experienced. Another sign of an incoming migraine attack is seeing flashing lights and colors all around. The body can also feel hot and weak on one side and may last for about 15 to 30 minutes and then followed by an intense headache. Other warning signs of migraines can also include the feeling of tiredness, depression, and/or restlessness that can go for two to three days before the headache is experienced. Treatment for migraines includes taking a number of prescription medications which is usually effective when taken just as the headache starts. Non-medication treatment for migraines includes applying cold compress or splashing cold water on the face at the first sign of headaches. A migraine attack can also be alleviated by lying down in a quiet and dark room for several hours to sleep or meditate to relax the mind. There are also other therapies that are being employed in order to help prevent migraines. This includes maintaining a proper diet by avoiding foods such as chocolate, caffeine or alcohol that can trigger a migraine attack. Living a stress-free life can also help in keeping migraine in check. Meditation and relaxation exercises such as Yoga can also help prevent further migraine attacks. The use of biofeedback therapy has also been found helpful in trying to prevent migraine attacks by effectively helping relax the mind. Migraines do not have to be a very painful problem for many people. Knowing how to treat such an ailment as well as how to prevent them can help people lead a more normal life.
